Understanding the foundations of the positive leaderships by studying Positive Psychology and Eudaimonia enables leaders to continue their personal development that enhances their leadership development. Understanding one’s degree of Moral Development, including values, character (integrity), empathy, and optimism, prepares leaders to fulfill their life’s mission.
Also, understanding one’s willingness and comfort with being Authentic develops transparency and congruency between values, decisions, and actions. Without developing authenticity, leaders cannot fulfill the Distinguished Leadership Model.
Finally, understanding how to develop sufficient Moral Courage will enhance leaders’ capabilities and willingness to incorporate Courageous Principled-Action into their leadership psyche for those difficult unethical, immoral, and illegal situations often encountered in contemporary leadership.
